Seven members of the now dissolved Special Majlis joined Jumhooree Party on Thursday.
The seven members are Mohamed Shihab, Mohamed Ibrahim Didi, Abdulla Jabir, Fathmath Dhiyana Saeed, Faisal Naeem, Mohamed Wajeeh, and Ali Faiz. In addition, former Finance Minister and President of the Special Majlis also joined the Jumhooree Party early Thursday morning.
At a press briefing held at the Party’s offices to introduce the new members, senior party member Ahmed Nashid said that there would now be nine Jumhooree Party members in the People’s Majlis.
Other than the new notable inclusions to the Party, officials of Jumhooree Party also said that there were several well-known businessmen who had joined the Party.
