Wataniya has decided to cut 50% from call charges on 1st August (Friday) on the occasion of their 3rd Anniversary.
Chief Operating Office of Wataniya, Abraham Smith said that Wataniya customers will be able to call to Wataniya numbers at Rf 0.22 per minute. He also said that Maldives is in the front line in telecommunications in this region.
Wataniya was the first company in Maldives to introduce Video call service and high speed mobile internet. Wataniya also say that they would soon introduce broadband internet to Mobile phones so that customers can watch TV channels via mobile pone.
Within the past 3 years, mobile call rates have decreased by up to 68% according to Telecommunications Authority of Maldives (TAM).
