Leader of Jumhoory Party (JP) and presidential candidate of Jumhoory Coalition, former finance minister Qasim Ibrahim, is an energetic, kind hearted, hard working leader who meets the expectation of the people, deputy leader of JP Abdulla Jabir has said.
“Our leader Qasim is a hard working leader who meets the expectation of the people, he is a man of high moral values who gives high consideration to the needs of the people” MP for Ga atoll Jabir said.
Asked whether the presidential elections face a run off, Jabir replied considering the huge support for Qasim across the country, there is little chance that elections will have go for a run off. He said he is fully confident JP’s leader and presidential candidate of Jumhoory coalition will win by a huge majority.
“We will only have to go run off election if there is no candidate who is capable of winning in the first round, considering the support he has there is little chance of that happening , by the will of Almighty Allah , Qasim win by a huge margin in the first round” Jabir said.
According to many Qasim Ibrahim is the only candidate capable of defeating the incumbent president Maumoon Abdul Gayoom.
