Most politicians now believe that JP’s Presidential Candidate Qasim Ibrahim will win the forthcoming presidential elections, according to the party’s deputy leader Abdulla Jabir. Jabir made the statement while speaking about various allegations that are being raised against his boss Qasim by other presidential candidates.
“Yes, we all sang and danced to a common song, we all were talking about bringing an end to the current regime and establish a people’s government, I think the tune which we all used to dance have now changed, when Qasim entered the presidential race people have forgotten about the person who has been in power for the last 30 years” Jabir said.
He further said even president Gayoom and other opposition leaders will accept the fact. He said Qasim is poised to win the elections by a landslide.
“Every candidate in the presidential race knows that Qasim will win the election which is why everybody so concerned about and this is the reason for all these allegations” Deputy JP Leader Jabir said.
Jabir went on to say that the people of the country have great faith in Qasim and that they are happy to accept his leadership.
Jabir further said JP has the capacity and the ability to fulfill their promises and that a JP government will change the deteriorating economic situation of the country and make the people smile.
JP at the launch of its presidential campaign last Friday night made huge promises to the people. Promises include constructing 1000 flats every year in Hulhumale’, exploring oil in the country and developing 5 economic zones.
