Male',Maldives:Leader of Jumhoory Party heading the Jumhoory coalition is a valuable asset of the Maldivian people, MDP coalition’s presidential candidate Mohamed Nasheed (Anni) has said.
Mohamed Nasheed made the statement speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the Seenu atoll Maradhoo Campaign Office. Nasheed (Anni) said that Qasim‘s agenda is to usher a modern democratic government. Anni said Qasim ‘s firm support for the democratic cause, despite being defeated in the first round of presidential elections shows his strong commitment and resolve to usher in a new democratic government and bring an end to President Gayoom’s 30 year old dictatorship.
After Anni’s address Jumhoory Leader Qasim also addressed the gathering. Qasim in his address said that he and Anni share a common agenda and that was to bring democratic reform to the country. Qasim further called on the people to vote for Anni to bring an end to the family rule of Gayoom and establish a government of the people.
