Mihin Air to resume flights in December



Mixing Air will recommence flights in December to Dubai, Trivandrum and the Maldives said the newly appointed Chairman of Mihin Lanka, Raja Edirisuriya.

He assured that he will make Mihin Lanka the best airline in the region in the near future and called upon the staff to put the past behind, and to learn lessons and start a new journey and work with commitment and vigour so that the country as well as they will benefit. He said that his vision is to work according to a plan, provide a courteous and efficient service, earn profits and ensure safety to its passengers.

“In this process I may have to take some harsh decisions but as my management structure is open and transparent everybody who falls in line will have a safe and secure future”.

Mihin Lanka is a national asset. Therefore, the citizens of this country have every right to inquire about the working of this institution. “Our soldiers are making the highest sacrifice for the sake of our motherland, therefore, we too should be able to make some sacrifice for the sake of the future of our motherland”.

Edirisuriya said that he will maintain cordial relations with SriLankan Airlines as well as the airline authorities so that the passengers benefit.

He said that on an earlier occasion too he was given the chairmanship of the State Engineering Corporation. “I was able to turn around that institution which had a lot of bad debts and within nine months to earn a profit of Rs. 103 mln.”
