President Mohamed Nasheed, who was inaugurated on 11 November as the Maldives 4 th president, has appointed officials to the posts of Under Secretary and Deputy Under Secretary at the President’s Office.
The newly appointed Under Secretaries are: Shazly Shafeeq of Ma Fereena; Hisaan Hussain of M Noohiri; Ali Niyaz of Nooraaniaage / Lh Hinnavaru; Fathimath Shareef of G Kasmeeruge;Ibrahim Hoodh of H South Reef ;Ibrahim Rasheed of Sosunmaage / Ha Hoarafushi and Dr. Moosa Fathee of Dhigali/B.Eydhafushi.
The newly appointed Deputy Under Secretaries are: Hussain Amr of G Haddunmathi dhekunuge ;Fathimath Afshan Latheef of Ma Maluvilaa;Aishath Shuwaikaar of H Athiriveli ; Nazil Afeef of Heavenly Heaven of Gdh Fiyoree;Furahani Shuaib Ali of G Hiyaa ;Rugiyya Ahmed Didi of Ma Comrade Villa and Abdul Hameed Abdul Kareem of Lucky / Lh Hinnavaru.
After the appointment President met with the newly appointed Executives at President’s Office and spoke on the administrative structure of the President’s Office and called on the new executives to offer their full support and cooperation in carrying out the work of the President’s Office. The President also urged them to respect the former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom.
