The five judges elected for High Court bench of Maldives are as follows.
1. Uz. Shuaib Hussain Zakariyya
2. Dr. Azmiralda Zahir
3. Uz. Abdul Gafoor Ibrahim
4. Uz. Abbas Shareef
5. Uz. Ali Sameer
Except Dr. Azmiraldo all the other judges were elected unanimously. 9 members of Judical Service Commission (JSC) attended the meeting to elect High Court bench.

2. Dr. Afrashim Ali (represent MPs)
3. Abdulla Shahid (Speaker of Majlis)
4. Uz. Abdula Ghanee Mohamed
5. Abdulla Didi
6. Sh. Shuaib Abdul Rahman
7. Mohamed Fahmee Hassan ( Commissioner of Civil Service)
8. Dr. Ahmed Ali Sawad
9. Uz. Ahmed Rasheed
Sheik Shuaib Abdul Rahman didnt vote in favour of Dr. Azmiralda. His reason for not voting was that any of the four sects of Islam do not permit a woman to conduct trials in all types of cases,” the JSC said.
President’s member to JSC and the controversial member Aishath Velezinee was absent for the meeting.
