Three thousand signatures necessary for the registration of the Maldivian National Party has been submitted to the Elections Commission.
According to Ameen Abdulla Interim Secretary General of the Maldivian National Party, the party spearheaded by Presidential Advisor Dr. Hassan Saeed, all necessary documentation along with 3000 signatures was submitted on Thursday to the Election Commission. Ameen said all forms were submitted after being carefully verified.
“Yesterday afternoon, we have submitted 3000 signatures, we have submitted all forms after carefully verifying them” Ameen said.
Assistant Director General of Elections Commission Mohamed Tholal speaking to Miadhu Daily confirmed the receipt of the documentation and expressed that necessary verification work is currently underway.
Election Commission issued permit to proceed with work to register Maldivian National Party on the 14 of October.
